Move to the head of the class with these learning tips!

Is learning to speak Italian on your list of resolutions for 2013? Do you wish you had taken a painting class in high school? If so, head to your computer to check out some of these resources.
College Classes For Free.
Explore one of the largest online collections of free classes, iTunes University. Courses are offered from MIT, Stanford, Library of Congress, and some museums such as MoMA.

Podcasts & Audio Books
If you want to know how black holes work, search How Stuff Works and download the podcast about black holes. If literature is more your style, explore the 500 titles listed at Open Culture or browse the free podcasts at Learn Out Loud

Teacher Guides
On the Microsoft site, you can find free and easy teacher guides for technology tasks. The web site has been redesigned and is very user-friendly. Sample topics include: Microsoft OneNote in the Classroom and Digital Storytelling in the Classroom.

Another great web site for technology classes is HP. Browse the the HP Learning Center and you will find classes on digital photography as well as basic troubleshooting and repair for pcs.

These are just a few of my favorite tips for learning. What would you add to the list? What will you learn in 2013?

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young. ~Henry Ford

  1. Another great resource is: http://www.pbslearningmedia.org
It's perfect for a short video clip on Dr. Martin L. King's speech or watch videos from NOVA on global warming.
