Don't Worry, Be Appy.

Productivity Apps Help Teachers on the Go!

There are so many apps available now that you need an app to help you manage all your apps.  There are multiple apps for singular tasks, and sometimes choosing the ones you will really use is difficult. Here are two apps you will definitely want to try and will probably use quite often. Each is available for Android and iOS devices.

Skyward Educator Access App is Here
CISD Technology Department is pleased to announce that the Skyward Educator Access Mobile app is now available and can be used on a variety of mobile devices including smart phones and tablets. The mobile app provides access to gradebook and attendance allowing  teachers to enter and check grades on the go.
The mobile app is free from both the Google Play Store and the iTunes Store. After downloading the app, you will need to complete a few initial steps that will connect your mobile device to the District‘s Skyward database. To assist you with this process,  the Instructional Technology staff has outlined procedures in a helpful guide. Click Here to access the guide with links to the app.

Control Your Computer
Remote Mouse is a great tool to allow mobility in the classroom. This app turns your phone or tablet into a wireless mouse and keyboard so that you can control your computer or presentation from anywhere in the room. It's available for Android and iOS devices. Get it in the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store.  Click here for direct links to download this app.

Windows 7 Tip: Give Your Mouse a "Shake"

If your desktop is cluttered with multiple open windows and files, and all you want to do is focus on one single window, then give your mouse a little shake. Just click the top of a pane, quickly shake your mouse from side to side and every window open except for the one you selected magically disappears. Shake your mouse again and all the open windows reappear.
